I downgraded my todo system
Although you might think “Well, that’s odd! Why would you do such a thing?”, please bear with me as I try to explain my thinking here. For me the GTD method has always made sense and to have a program, or several companion programs, to assist you in the process made even more sense. But then the all too familiar feature creep reared its ugly head and made the once beautiful...

I agree with john Gruber, this is a pretty darn good article!
Compulab makes a tiny Tegra 2 computer for the... →
I really like small computers and specially those who are completely silent, just like the good old home computers of yore (the 1980s). This looks like a pretty sweet little machine that doesn’t drown you in fan noise or cause you a lot of money on your electricity bill. I see potential for machines like this in many places where we today have to stand a big noisy box that eats power like...
9 to 5 - Mac HP/Palm’s strategy: Build a plastic... →
I can’t say I’m all too impressed by this so far, but I’m more than willing to give it the benefit of the doubt until I get to fiddle with one in real life. WebOS has potential and at least this hardware, if correct, would make it pretty OK compared to what’s already on the market. Which might be the big problem. Competitive with what’s on the market now, not...
The Macalope Weekly: Executive business →
I don’t often find it necessary to link to The Macalope, because it’s well known and just plain awesome as it is. However, this weeks edition points at one exceptionally crummy article about Tim Cook. I agree that Gawker really stand for the lowest of current tech journalism available. Go read this now, it’s well worth your time!

Enough: The Minimal Mac Podcast →
In case you somehow missed it, Patrick Rhone and the great chaps behind TheBroShow have teamed up for another podcast; Enough.
You owe it to yourself to listen to this. Lots of food for thought and I have it on good authority that there will be a lot more of it in the future.
Interesting note: Enough is currently #2 in the tech-category of podcasts in iTunes. Help them reach #1, won’t...

When it comes to iOS beta versions
I’m not sure if I like the recent developments in misinterpretation regarding coming features in iOS and iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch hardware. Sure, the signs are there in the bowels of the SDK, indicating:
New models of hardware are coming.
New features for the core functionality of iOS are being considered and tested.
There are people working on making the artwork in iOS more future...

Engadget Exclusive: HP / Palm's webOS tablets -... →
Engadget is really on fire lately! Should this turn out to be true, it’s a little unimpressive in regards to how well HP thinks the products will do, but fairly nice that they are applying themselves to actually make them in the first place. I have said many times before that the Palm Pre is one of the very few phones I could consider switching to, and if there is a tablet based on...
Macworld: With Tim Cook, Apple turns to a familiar... →
Another interesting piece on Tim Cook. I’m not sure about anyone else, but I’m quite confident in the creative talents and all the brilliant people working at Apple, even without Steve Jobs at the helm. Tim Cook has handled it really well in the past and I’m sure he’ll do just that again this time!

Jeremy Horwitz gives his opinions on all the talk about the iPad and the rumored 2048x1536 screen resolution of the next model. Very good points, well made. Food for thought and I recommend you read it!

Reuters has this shocker:
The use of DRM to lock down content to less-than-cutting-edge devices was a major stumbling block in the rollout of what was originally supposed to be a major iTunes competitor.
Gee. I can’t see what went wrong with that…

iDevice news in week 2 of 2011
The CDMA iPhone 4 unveiled for wireless carrier Verizon in the US and from the looks of it, that’s where it’ll stay for the time being. What I do think is very good about this is that we can finally get rid of the annoying “Verizon iPhone” rumor which has been plaguing us since 2007. At long last we can get over it and move on to other, more important things. Hopefully.

The future of the iPad 2, iPhone 5, and Apple TV... →
Due to my insane workload lately not to mention all the CES stuff to sift through a few times, this got a bit lost on me when it popped up on my radar. I often think very low of rumors, setting a good starting point for them to improve from. I do this mostly because the people and places reporting on the rumors are of the very questionable kind with a record so full of spots it would scare a...

Great piece on iPad and education.
Sadly, I forgot who pointed me to the article. I’d like to give a correct “via”, so I’ll keep looking for where I got the link.

Google's Android 3.0 Honeycomb for tablets: a... →
An interesting look at what’s coming in the hopefully not too distant future. Sure looks a lot better than what is currently being offered on Android tablets, in my opinion.
What I really wonder about is how many of the current tablets will be able to upgrade when the time comes.

The Mac AppStore
It’s been out there for a few days now and just like every other pundit in the field of Apple reporting, speculating and analyzing, I thought I would chime in on what I think about it.
The installation procedure of the Mac AppStore was not what I expected, being baked into the 10.6.6 update and automatically tossed into the dock, between the Finder and Dashboard. I honestly thought Apple...

Iomega SuperHero
Engadget: Iomega SuperHero
Here is an interesting take on the docking station concept curtesy of Iomega, a name that should be familiar to most. While I personally have not heard of them making any particularly fascinating products lately, the SuperHero docking station adds some creativity to the otherwise stale mix of charging and having a convenient stand for your device.
Being compatible...

I don’t know about anyone else, but doesn’t it feel like Munster phoned that in? I mean seriously, I could have told people that and I don’t even get payed to say this stuff… yet.
The part I’m not so sure about yet is if the almost mythological CDMA iPhone will indeed be released, and if so when it will be released. March doesn’t quite feel like the time of...
