The Raspberry Pi just got even more awesome
Thinking 256MiB of RAM is too little for your application? Well, the Raspberry Pi foundation has you covered, now. From now on, all Raspberry Pi Model B will be equipped with 512MiB of RAM, enabling even more interesting tasks for the little machine.
With this doubling of available RAM, we will be able to use even more intense apps and memory hungry things, such as Java. Maybe this’ll make the Raspberry Pi a nice and low-power Minecraft client, at the very least.
